Prawns are one of my favourites, and are my go-to whenever I'm somewhere that’s within 10 miles of the sea! It’s a nice contrast to the traditional beef/chicken and pasta combinations. Sat bored in your flat? This is the recipe for you. Frozen prawns can be bought at a reasonable price from most supermarkets, so don’t be put off by cost.

Ingredients:
100g tagliatelle pasta
5-6 king prawns (or smaller alternatives)
¼ small chilli
1 crushed garlic clove
Olive oil
Method:
Finely cut the chilli into small slices. Toss the pasta into a pan of boiling water, and begin to cook. The pasta will need 10-12 minutes to cook, keep an eye on it and continue to stir so it doesn’t begin to stick together.
Whilst the pasta is boiling, heat a frying pan with olive oil, and wait for the oil to cook. Add the prawns and stir-fry for 2 minutes, tossing them over on each side to cook thoroughly.
Throw the garlic and chilli into the frying pan, and cook for a further 2 minutes. Use a wooden spoon to stir the ingredients. Once cooked, remove the frying pan from the heat.
When the pasta is cooked, drain with a colander before tipping the tagliatelle into the frying pan. Let the juices all soak together. After 1 minute, divide the contents of the frying pan onto a plate, and serve.
